Prior it was a good place to work, and the job security was there with good management. The change to Aetna caused change and outsourcing so my whole department lost their jobs.

Compensation for the work we did based on other companies was subpar. Loved working here; great employees and benefits. Nice company to work for. I really enjoyed working at Coventry, Only downsize was the commute. It was a very positive environment to work in. Management was very helpful and they encouraged growth. I made the biggest mistake ever by working there, The Accounting Manager was a total jerk. I would not even tell her what time of the day it was if asked.

Great place to work. I really love this company. The people here are very nice and they help you. This is a very laid back place to work.

It's never a dull moment. Right down the street from my house. Very stressful however, their was some flexibility. Opportunity to work from home on bad weather days or if you had a sick kiddo. Also, the director at the time, would occasionally let us leave a couple of hours early on Fridays. I just loved this Company. I knew it as First Health. I was responsible for training up to 20 contractors on projects, assignments, team meetings and motivation was critical.

We also did Potluck days that helped with stress on large multi platform projects. I was always learning new process and attended many meetings with each departments. This allowed that the software was developed to both developer and end user needs or wants.

PA — June 29, Overall Coventry has a good internal community. The work load is usually fair and it has excellent benefits for you and your family. The hardest part of the job is dealing with an occasional people with issues. Coventry was purchased 5 years ago by Aetna. After that time the culture changed. I believe my supervisors and their managers do the best they can, however it appears that corporate decision makers don't understand the demands of my job and choose not to fill the position vacated when a colleague retired.

Large corporation throughout the U. Lots of job openings in different areas and around the U. Like many companies it has its pros and cons but all benefits are available, dental, Medical, Life Insurance, vacation days are good after a few years, vision, legal insurance, STD, LTD, etc.

Terrible leadership, Management changed often, Very unfriendly working environment-Treated employees poorly. Overworked with heavy case loads, There are serious issues with harassment and workplace bullying. Poor leadership and management reflects highly on the floor. Absent leadership has allowed atrocious behavior. Management chooses to ignore the behavior- ignored behavior is condoned behavior. If you take your concerns to HR, the leadership will subtly retaliate against you.

At home is the only reason I stay. Bullying mentality with sups, vengeful behavior, lots of belittling the staff. Sups require everyone on the team CC her on any and all questions which causes team to suffer neurotic behavior and fear of bullying replies when sup thinks questions are "stupid. I am sure more to follow. They have thrown good sups under the bus for their own skins and they do not listen to line employees, even when one after another complain and practically beg for help against a tyrannical sup.

Location; Work from home option; reasonable pay. Insurance benefits; Facility not updated; Too many reserved parking spaces. A high degree of autonomy in work. Work from home position made for flexible scheduling. Management does not communicate expectations or important information quickly or clearly.

A lot of information is exchaged through grapevine. Great for work-life balance. There are work at home opportunities, flexible hours, generous vacation and benefits. Just got bought out by Aetna, so future is bleak. Most of us will probably lose our jobs. Your response will be removed from the review — this cannot be undone.
